Can anyone please share the average number of claims you can code in an 8 hour day and what type of coding it is, whether, specialty, hospital, private practice, etc.
Thanks.

I do coding for Family Practice, about 12 physicians. I can usually code, depending on patient volume, 120-250 a day. It just varies.

I have coded just over 300 superbills in one day, but my average is 180-200, possibly less when I have surgeries to code. We have approx 45 providers [physicians, PAs, nurse practioners, nutritionists plus on-site lab, MRI, CT, SONO, XRAYS, NUCLEAR STRESS TESTING, ETC.]
