Date of service for purchased services

HI,
Can anyone tell me what date of service we should use when billing for purchased services on the Path 88305. We buy the slide from the lab, then bill 88305/tc & 88305/26. We have been using the path read date for the service date, but there has been questions come up with the RAC as to what the service date should be.
