Wiki Deadline for ICD-10 Proficiency exam?

I have just read where if you have a core credential, you will need to take the proficiency exam before Dec. 31, 2015. I have also been told that you do not have to take the exam and have up until Dec. 31, 2016 due to ICD-10 being delayed...Could someone give me the correct information on this matter? Thank you for your time and help.
 
as of this minute ICD 10 has not been delayed AGAIN. Anyone with a credential, per the AAPC, must pass the proficiency test by 12-31-2015 or you will lose your credential. on aapc.com go to the icd 10 tab on the top for further info.
