Procedure performed: Oasis wound matrix application and debridement of epidermis.
Procedure: Ulcer was sharply debrided. There was scant bleeding. The interphalangeal joint could be seen to be open but the planter portion of this was fused with only the dorsal push portion of the joint remaining open. Once the slough and callus had been removed, a piece of Oasis was cut into small pieces and stacked onto the open wound surface. It was moistened with saline. A veil and cover dressing were applied.
