Wiki Debridement of necrotic neck with i/d

Not sure how to code this. Please help.

The patient has 6 cm in length and 1.5 cm of necrotic tissue covering the neck. Necrotic tissue debrided. In the cavity, found about 2.5 cm deep filled with necrotic tissues. With a sharp knife dissection. Once necrotic tissue was debrided, markings were also incised. Total length of incision was 6 cm by 1.5 cm in breadth after removing. Wound cavity was packed with iodoform packing and dry dressing. Pressure dressing applied. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :eek:
 
You need more info from the doctor. Debridement codes are listed by depth of the debridement ex: skin, sub-q, skin/sub-q/muscle, skin/sub-q/muscle/bone. See codes 11040-11044
