The provider is not present at the time the baby is delivered, so the RN delievers the baby; however, the provider delivers the placenta and does the vaginal laceration repair...can the provider still report the global?

Usually they do bill the global code even tho the nurse "caught" the baby. They can use modifier 52 and send an explanation of what part of the global was missing to be totally accurate.
