We have some discussions around a hospital contracting with an FQHC... The FQHC providers are providing the prenatal care and then may not be on call so a provider not associated with same TIN/ group practice will be performing delivery. Can the FQHC bill the global package under the FQHC providers and the delivering physician gets a contracted amount from the FQHC for the delivery?

I appreciate any input on this!

Many ob practices have various arrangements in these types of situations.
Paying the on call who delivers is one option.
Some have simple reciprocal arrangements (like you take call every even week, and I take call every odd week).
Some do split billing.
You should have an agreement that makes it all clear. Particularly in light of being an FQHC, whatever arrangement you settle on should get reviewed by someone with an appropriate skill set for that.
