Can a patient be billed for an Insulin & Accu-Check demostrations? Can they be billed for an insulin injection when the insulin is a sample in the office? And one more if I can, is there a charge for Clonidine when give PO insteasd of IM? I hope I did not ask too many questions. Thanks as always for your help.

For demonstrations/teaching we bill a 99211, make sure they document well. You can bill the injection for the insulin, but not for the insulin sample. In our clinic we do not bill for any meds given orally, we include that in the E/M.
I hope this helps.
