We received several denials from community health choice for inappropriate coding for invoices for one patient. The ICD 10 codes are K70.31, K76.82, R60.0, and R17. The CPT is 99233. Our manager suggested we remove R17 to get it accepted. Do you think this will be sufficient?

Ahh you need to read guidelines in the ICD10 manual under the dx codes. National coding convention states add F10 to dx code K70.31. The Dx .R17 Jaundice is Excludes 1 rule with dx K70.31. Also no such dx as K76.82. But the dx R60 is ok.
