Could someone tell me why I received a denial for this?
Patient came in for a Lumpectomy, right breast, with placement of MammoSite cavity evaluation device on 01/07/13. (CPT 19297)
On 01/10/13, the same patient seen by the same doctor, came in for placement of this device again (CPT 19296). The 19296 is denying against the Lumpectomy performed. (Lumpectomy has a 90 day global).
Any Help would be appreciated.
