Our providers inject 0.5cc of Depo-Medrol 40mg/ml. (multi dose vial) Do we report this as J1020x1 Methylprdnisolone actat 20mg or J1030 since that is the 40mg?

I am curious as to how many units we are supposed to use. If my physician injects 2 cc's from an 80mg vial and we can only use J1010 which is for 1 mg, how does that work out?

From what I have seen online the new code is J1010 and its billed per 1mg. My question would be which NDC number do we use. Still trying to find that part out.
you will use the NDC# from what Depo-Medrol 20mg, 40mg, or 80mg used. the NDC# on the claim will alert the insurance carriers as to which strength was used.
