I am confused on the coding of repairs in the ER using just Dermabond. On the facility side we are billing an er level, the cpt code for the repair and G0168 for the Dermabond supply itself. And the cpt code for the professional side. The G0168 keeps giving us and error. I think it is because it is bumping up with the cpt code on the facility side. I think there is an NCCI edit for reporting the cpt code with g0168. Also should I be using G0168 for Medicare patients for the professional fee and is it mandatory. Any help in understand this would be greatly appreciated.
