I have a chart where the Medicare patient has two lacerations. One laceration of the 1.5 cm hand was sutured and a separate 1.0
laceration of the scalp was closed with Dermabond. The scalp and hand are under the same catergory in CPT 12001-12005. My question is can I bill for G0168 and 12001 or can it only be the 12001 for the total of 2.5 cm laceration? I cannot find anything on the CMS website regarding billing for G0168 and a code from 12001-12005 in the same visit. Anyone seen this scenario before and know where I can find documentation from CMS on how to bill? Thank You.
