this is the scenario: We will be billing for some new derm path specimens that will be obtained from patients seen by general dermatologists at a practice in one location and sent to the path lab at our group’s location in another state. My question is if the specimen is obtained from a patient in State A and sent to and read by our derm path doctors in State B, does the billing run through the existing contracts for our group in State B under their TIN?
