I am wondering if there is a description of the face to face services that referenced in the CPT definition of a NEW patient vs. and established patient. I immediately thought this only indicated previous E/M codes being submitted but there is a question reference vaccines, EKGs, etc. being performed previously. Please advise if there is a list of these face to face services that would determine the patient to be an established patient. Thanks

I've never seen a definitive list of face-to-face codes. That would be a really long list. But the CPT manual states "...any professional service."
It's probably easier to think of what isn't a face-to-face service. Some examples would be a radiologist who reads a film or a pathologist who interprets a test without ever seeing the patient.

The CPT manual says for the purpose of distinguishing new and established patients... professional services are those face to face services rendered by physicians and other QHP who may report E/M services.
