We have a Developmental Assessment Clinic where babies who were low birth weight/preemies periodically come to make sure they are developing appropriately and not having any medical issues. We have been using V79.3 (special screening for for mental disorders and developmental handicaps - Developmental handicaps in early childhood). Insurances are rejecting these charges due to the screening diagnosis. Any suggestions for a better/different diagnosis? We are considering using V65.5 (person with feared complaint in whom no diagnosis was made).
