How would you code for risk adjustment coding, when a provider only list as a diagnosis in the A/P: Diabetic Macular Edema?

I would leave out the 362.01 and just use the 362.07. Just my opinion though. It seems to cover the macular edema with the 250.50

Do you omit 362.01 even with the note under 362.07 that states: Code 362.07 must be used with a code for diabetic retinopathy (362.01 - 362.06)?

Thanks! :)
