Can anybody shed some light on this? DMERC (region C) is now asking for more documentation which requires med notes from the primary care physician. Some of the PCP's are not cooperating - they are refusing to sent their notes indicating they are treating the patient for the systemic disease. We are now using a diabetic foot exam form when the patient comes in for shoes. Would this be charged for an office visit? This is very confusing on these shoes now. Thanks and any help would be appreciated!
