The heart lab that I work for is going to be starting to perform a test before a patient is put on a statin medication to see whether they will tolerate the medication. I can't find a screening code for it. Should I use the symptoms the patient is having i.e., high cholesterol, hypertension, etc. even though the reason for the test is to see if they will have side effects from the medication?
