I am coding my first debridement of a laceration. I have the CPT code down, but now for the DX code, I am searching and I can only find laceration of "face and neck".. That's not what I'm looking for. The woman was at home and had blunt trauma to her eyebrow and has a laceration now.
Do I need a code for that, or do I just use an E code for the accident, or BOTH? :confused:
 
873.52 - Open wound; eyebrow; complicated or 873.42 Open wound; eyebrow - should work just fine. If you have enough documentation for the E-code you could report that also.
