I am trying to find a diagnosis for a non-collision, non-injured one car MVA initial encounter? Does anyone have any suggestions. I can only find for injured person but I need non-injured person.

You will need to know if the patient was the passenger or the driver for the external cause code, however this cannot be the first listed code on the claim. If the patient is being seen following an MVA and there are no injuries or complaints of signs or symptoms the the first listed code is Z04.1 for exam following transport accident , this code is first listed only allowed. Follow this with you external cause code for the passenger or driver of whichever type of motor vehicle
