Wiki Diagnosis when patient is following up after treatment

Patient is diagnosed with xxx and treated. The provider wants him to come back in x weeks for re-check. Upon re-check, the condition is found to have fully resolved. Can you still use xxx as your diagnosis, or do you have to use "history of xxx"?
 
You cannot code a condition that does not exist and is not being treated. You the Z09 for follow up and you can add a history of code if one exisits.
