Situation: We provide medical oversight for the two major dialysis providers in our market. We bill under one group tax id and NPI. We have a transfer patient who had a comprehensive exam at Dialysis Provider #1. Later in the month, transferred to Dialysis Provider #2 and had another comprehensive exam. My biller wants to bill the two visits in month code. However, I struggle with this since the facilities where the patient received services are owned by two different dialysis providers. I lean toward two claims, one visit each. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
