My OB doctors would like to hire a dietitian to come to our office 2x per month to counsel a group of Gestational Diabetic patients. Each session would be between 1 to 1 1/2 hrs.
1. Do the patients have to meet individually first before they can be in a group session?
2. How does the billing work is he/she is an employee? I am needing to figure out if the doctors would make or loose money if they were to take this route.
I do have the codes as 97802, 97803 and 97804. The dx would be Gestational diabetes unless otherwise specified by the doctor.
