When both a Physician and a Registered Dietitian see a patient as part of a shared visit, may the Dietitian's time and the Physician's time be added together to determine the level of an E/M encounter by total time?

Likewise, during a similar shared visit, may their respective elements of medical decision-making be combined to level a shared E/M encounter by MDM?

Hi there, to report a split/shared service the QHP must be able to independently bill for an E/M service. Also, time is the only way to code a split/shared visit in the office setting.
