Correct me if I'm wrong, but Medicare requires a dilated exam at least 90 days prior to surgery. Does the same rule apply for the second eye.

Example - Dilated exam in September, Cataract surgery in December, another Dilated exam in February and Second eye cataract surgery in February. Would the exam in February be required or can this be part of the post op period for 1st eye and decision for surgery for the second eye.
