I had a patient go home after having surgery (which carries a 90 day global) then was brought back to the ER for weakness and was admitted back into the hospital on the same day. Unsure what I should be coding...any help would be appreciated!

Who is admitting?

If the surgeon (or colleague from the same practice, same specialty) is re-admitting the patient, this is global to the surgery.

If another doctor is admitting the patient, they will code initial hospital visit as per documentation.
