Does anyone know where I can find information pertaining to discharges being included in the global surgery package? Doctors that I bill for get paid on some discharges and not on others. I am in need of something in writing showing that they cannot be billed.
 
CPT is pretty clear. Surgical Package Definition (under Surgery Guidelines); last bullet states "typical postoperative follow up care". That would include discharge. Also, the 90 day global includes ALL related services within that 90 day period.
