My doctor discharged an inpatient from the regular floor (99239) and admitted her to the Hospice floor. She did a complete H & P on the admit. These were both on the same day. Which does she bill for? or does it matter?

Thanks for your help.

The physician can bill for both services, as they will be different types of service, one inpatient and the other Skilled nursing. The 25 modifier would need to be added to the inpaitent discharge. :)
