Doctor is doing a left heart cath... 1/17 as an Outpatient. He dictated and asked me to code a discharge for 1/18. There isn't a cpt code for and outpatient discharge correct?
He did not admit the patient for observation or change the patient to inpatient status. I am just making sure there isn't a code that I am missing...99217 specifies that the doctor has to have them admitted for observation correct?
