My doctor is off doing a pig hysterectomy by Divinci. I guess I had better get on the coding aspect of this. Do you just use the regular codes for these procedures and is there any reason to increase the price of these procedures? And are there any tricks that I should know?

For the DaVinci coding, you would use the laparoscopic codes, and then assign cpt s2900 to let the ins company know that it is robotic. Our practice does not charge a higher fee for the DaVinci, nor does the hospital. I think that would be up to each practice. Other than that, nothing else changes. Good luck!
