Wiki DLA-20 assessment

Our providers are going to be trained in performing the DLA-20 assessment. Does anyone know if this is a billable service, and if so will 96127 be the code used or is there another code more suitable.

Hi Crawford,
This DL20 assessment must be listed & documented & include clients with a wide range of diagnoses including but not limited to schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, and substance use disorders. And clinician perceptions written and ensure add dx added from MD, DO, NP and PA (doctor statuses). Psy nurses can use it with 99211. IF the patient has some medical chronic dsx. (MD, HTN, CHF, CHKD as examples) also then doctor status treats pt can add eval mgnt code, then modifier 25 and CPT 96127.

Hi Again Crawfordt
The MH assessment document but call/phone the patient check out CPT 98966 or 98967 then ensure add minutes in record and dx code and type of MH assessment DL20 or PHQ9,ETC. I hope this data helps you too
