Patient chief complaint is polydypsia and his concern is about DM. No FHX for DM. Can I code polydypsia along with Screening DM?

no you code the polydipsia only, thisis not a screening as the pt is symtopmatic. It is a diagnostic test due to a symptom so code only the symptom.
