I am a billing manager for a multi specialty group and we are hospital owned. We have been asked by the Breast Health Boutique that is in our hospital that is run by our volunteer board to bill for the DME products that they sell. They currently use an outside vendor and that company performs the billing function.
I have never handled DME billing and I am not sure if it is something we can bill for out of our office.
I would appreciate any advice on how we start down this road.
