I need some help to figure out what codes to use. I want to bill A9900 as a DME supply for UHC because they are bundling A7046 with E0562. Will they pay this code? Also, I want to use 99499 instead of 99090 for BCBS because they are denying the 99090 as a noncovered service. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. :confused:
 
It has been a few years since I billed sleep studies, but when I was, we didn't bill for the supplies because they were included in the reimbursement for the test. I would double check the billing guidelines to make sure you should be billing them separately. If you find the guidelines have changed since I was billing them, I'd love if you would shoot me an e-mail and let me know. Thanks! :)
