My question is surrounding DME... I'm not sure how to code for multiple hinges, L2220, that go with an IQ Brace, L4397 to help provide stretching for the treatment of Plantar Facaitis. The Hinge is required to be added to the right and left side of the boot of the left leg. But the hinge is connected on the right and left side of the boot. If we bill the L2220 out on two seprate lines with the LT (side of the body modifier) the second is always denied as a duplicate. What modifiers has anybody had success with or who can help guide me in the appropriate way to avoid a duplicate denial for the 2 units of L2220?
