Hey everyone,
My team is having a discussion regarding ER visit providing a Bledsoe boot to a Medicare Advantage patient. This is coming up in claim edits as not allowed due to DME supply. Our manager told us to strip the HCPCS and report the charge under REV 271. I am very uncomfortable stripping a HCPCS from DME. Everything I have read says its not allowed. Can someone on this forum tell me if this is permissible?
