New to Gen Surg and have a question.

Patient was scheduled for a C-Scope, however due to a poor colon prep the procedure was discontinued and rescheduled. What CPT do I use, if any.
Do I use 45380 and add modifier 53?

I am new at this but I believe 45378 with modifier 52 would be correct. 45378 is colonoscopy, 45380 is colonoscopy with biopsy. You don't mention a biopsy being done. If biopsy was done then 45380 would be correct code. Modifier 52 is by choice, modifier 53 is used when high risk.
