When using a 52 modifier do we cut our price or let the insurance company do it. We are doing a letter stating the percentage of work we actually did. Medicare states to report it with the appropriate reduced original charge.

You should report your usual fee for a reduced service. The carrier will decide what to pay based upon the documentation.
