Does the use of a thornton ring to support the globe make it a complex cataract? There was no documentation of any complications.

Thanks

I would say that it doesn't. The main purpose of the ring is to use it as a way to locate the proper position for various corneal incisions during the surgery, such as a relaxing incision for astigmatism or to use as a way to be sure that a topic IOL is aligned properly.
