Anyone know if hospitals can bill for NICU babies using donor breast milk?
 
Hello Krisw 7067,
Here is info I discovered for donor breast milk. I have seen this cause OB/GYN patient was suffering with cancer radiation treatments & not able to breast feed her infant. It is code T2101 about $5 for ounce and infant can get this from ages 0-6 months. Can be listed on inpt. billing claim as 0220 REV code .And usually cannot bill more than 1260 units during those infant ages. Outpt claim add additional note as DME.
