I work for a smaller practice and we offer direct primary care subscription for uninsured patients. We are also contracted with Medicare. Recently, one of our patients enrolled in Medicare after previously being a DPC patient, but did not inform us until later. The patient enrolled in Medicare in August of 2025 and just informed us March of 2026. I believe we should refund that patient their membership cost beginning in August since the service we provided was covered under Medicare, then bill to Medicare. The company is saying we do not have to. The research I've performed says yes we do. Does anyone have insight or can provide more resources for me to show the company?
