I'm not sure how to code this Op Note- The patient goes in for exploratory laparoscopy as he is post-op from an appendectomy and is still having pain. My physician puts a drain in- "After thorough irrigation was undertaken a 10 flat JP Drain was placed through the 5mm suprapubic port site and positioned in the right lower quadrant, draping down over the pelvic inlet and into the right pelvis. It was secured." Do I code that or do I just use 49320 as that is all he explored? Thoughts?
