I am looking for resources or other CPC coders who are familiar with Definitive Drug Testing. I am specifically looking for guidelines that will help me distinguish which drugs are under which Class as there seems to be much debate in my Practice.
I am looking at the 2020 CPT Definitive Drug Class Listing in the Pathology and Laboratory Section pages 549-550. I am trying to approach the subject from a coding perspective versus non-coders using their "interpretation" of how to assign drugs to the appropriate Class for accurately coding G0480 - G0483.
Any thoughts or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
