I'm looking for some clarification on when this code can be used. Can it be used for routine drug testing for pain doctors or can it only be used in a certain environment? There doesn't seem to be much out there on this.
H0003: Alcohol and/or drug screening; laboratory analysis of specimens for presence of alcohol and/or drugs
 
Hi there, the Medicaid H codes are for alcohol and drug abuse treatment, which is not the same as monitoring a patient for compliance with their COT.
