I'm looking for help in coding a posterior cervical fusion in which our doctor used Dtrax for stabilization. This was at 1 level, C3-4. It's a Medicare patient. Has anyone ever tried billing for this? I can't find any information on the manufacturer's website. Thank you!!!!

It would probably help you to read how the procedure is accomplished as the description will dictate the coding. The website won't have coding information but does explain how the equipment is used.

Dr. is using a posterior Dtrax device for an ACDF. With the research I've done Posterior interbody cages are made of the same materials and designs as anterior interbody cages but are placed into the disc space from the back of the spine. So I'm think to code it, 22853 should be fine. Any thoughts or experience with this device?

This type of instrumentation is being applied to the interfacet joint during a posterior arthrodesis, code range 0219T-0222T is appropriate until the codes sunset in Jan 2026.
