Is there a modifier for a physician who is dual credentialed to show he is acting as a PCP or specialist. We have physicians who are dual credentialed and see patients mostly as cardiology but health plans assign a PCP copay to the claim. It would make sense to me to have a modifier to delineate whether the physician was acting as PCP or specialist. I don't know of a modifier for this but should there be?
