Hello,

Has anyone ever had a situation where the patient does not authorize assignment of benefits and the insurance pays both the provider and patient? In this situation who reimburses the overpayment? It seems like it would be the provider however, the provider does not have authorization to claim information or appeals due to the non-assignment of benefits.
