Could I get some opinions on coding the repair of a dura tear for an accidental puncture that was done during a decompression. I have seen various online references saying not to code the dura repair because often it is incidental to the decompression/discectomy. It does bundle with the spinal decompression codes. An outside source recently said that we should code the dura tear repair with the decompression.
