a cleft pt may go thru years of surgical intervention. Pt has a repaired cleft lip & palate and is now going to have a cleft lip revision with recreation of the defect (#40720). Do you use #749.2x? Appreciate any coding sets in your experience.
 
Condition being treated

We continue to use the appropriate cleft lip/palatte code if we are continuing to treat the condition (vs routine follow-up). Our craniofacial/plastic surgeons say "it's not completely fixed until we are no longer considering additional surgeries."
